Make a difference in our community by joining a committee. As a Chamber member, you can join a committee and see what can be accomplished by a group of like-minded business professionals. Joining a committee is a great way to network and get an insider’s view of the Menlo Park Chamber of Commerce.

The committee works to keep members and the community informed about issues that could impact our city. The focus includes fostering and maintaining a strong liaison with local, state and federal government. Transportation, Housing and Land Use are major community issues in which the Chamber has taken an active leadership role. Areas where this is apparent are: Bayfront Expressway and Marsh Road improvements, Caltrain Modernization, Downtown Parking, Highway 101 Pedestrian Bridge, Willow Road Interchange design, Safe Routes to School, Shuttle Programs, the Housing Element and the El Camino Real/Downtown Specific Plan.

The Menlo Summer Fest (formerly Connoisseurs’ Marketplace) Committee organizes our annual mid-summer festival. This upscale festival features the arts with live jazz, r&b, soul and swing music, fine art and handmade crafts by over 200 of the West Coast’s top artists, savory cuisine, premium wines and microbrews, specialty foods, and captivating kids’ zone.

Initiated in 2007, the Block Party team is a seasonal committee that coordinates a downtown community celebration. The event highlights local business and service organizations as they showcase their products and services against an inviting backdrop of plaza dining, musical entertainment and children’s activities.
